Communiqué No. 2025/26 amending the Communiqué on Supporting the Conversion of Companies' Foreign-Sourced Currency into Turkish Lira (No. 2023/5) was published in Official Gazette No. 33064 of 1 November 2025.
The “Communiqué (No: 2025/26) Amending the Communiqué on Supporting the Conversion of Companies’ Foreign-Sourced Currency into Turkish Lira (No: 2023/5)” was published in Official Gazette No. 33064 of 1 November 2025.
Under Article 4 of the Communiqué on Supporting the Conversion of Companies’ Foreign-Sourced Currency into Turkish Lira, entitled “Provision of foreign currency conversion support on the sale of foreign-sourced currency to the Central Bank”, companies selling their foreign-sourced currency to the Central Bank through a bank were provided with conversion support equal to 2% of the amount converted into Turkish lira at the conversion rate, on condition that they undertook not to purchase foreign currency for a period to be determined by the Central Bank.
Under temporary Article 1 added to that Communiqué by Communiqué No. 2023/5 of 3 May 2025, this rate was applied at 3% until 31 July 2025. Subsequently, Communiqué No. 2025/18 of 1 August 2025 extended the application period of the 3% conversion support rate to 31 October 2025.
This Communiqué extends the application period of the 3% foreign currency conversion support rate to 30 April 2026 (inclusive).
